Evaluation: 2023 Women’s Cardiometabolic Health and Wellness Masterclass

Please follow the steps below for direct access to the evaluations for 2023 Women’s Cardiometabolic Health and Wellness Masterclass. 

IMPORTANT FIRST STEP

In order to access the evaluation, you must first REGISTER or login on this website. Please note this is a separate site from www.cardiometabolichealth.org. To begin registration steps:

  1. Click on the Register/Take Course tab on this page and follow the instructions.
  2. Once the above step is complete you will be able to access the evaluation starting on Saturday, August 19 at 5:30pm PDT by clicking on the Register tab of this page. Please note this website will refer to this as a "Course", please disregard this. Once you are registered, you will have direct access to the evaluation surveys to claim your credits. 
  3. All CME information can be found within each evaluation. Please visit the last tab of this page "Take Course" to select and start an evaluation. There are 5 separate evaluation surveys. The first consists of your evaluation of the general meeting where you can earn up to 9.25 credits. The remaining 4 evaluations are for the 4 supported sessions. These surveys are optional, however if you would like to claim credit for attending these, you must complete each of them (earn up to 2.5 additional credits for completing these surveys) to receive a certificate. 

The evaluation deadline has been extended to Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:59 pm EDT. Upon completion of the CME/CE evaluation, attendees can download their certificates.

Target Audience

The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of US-based healthcare professionals, including endocrinologists, cardiologists, internists, primary care clinicians, obstetricians, pharmacists, physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Recognize the symptoms and clinical presentation of acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases in women, including heart failure, valvular disease, and acute coronary syndromes.
  • Discuss the relationship between conventional and women-specific cardiometabolic risk factors, as well as their impact on the development of cardiometabolic diseases in women across the lifespan, including diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, obesity, kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease.
  • Describe the risk of cardiometabolic disease in women due to adverse pregnancy outcomes across the women’s lifespan.
  • Summarize recent evidence for emerging therapies in cardio-renal-metabolic medicine in order to stay current with the most recent updates, including women-specific considerations.
  • Select individualized and evidence-based approaches for the management of women with cardio-renal-metabolic risk, including the optimization of CVD prevention, obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, kidney disease, and type 2 diabetes.
