Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) affects an estimated 25-30% of people in the United States and can often progress to Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and cirrhosis. MASH represents a metabolic-driven array of multi-organ pathology that intersects with obesity, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular ailments.
