Lowering LDL-C effectively and safely is crucial to prevent and lower the risk of adverse cardiovascular events, however, LDL-C goal achievement remains suboptimal, including in high-risk and very high-risk patients. The landscape of LDL-C lowering therapy has significantly evolved, with new consensus statements, newer agents, as well as important evidence that may help address some of the current gaps.
