Word Salad: Contextual Factors and Their Effect on Therapeutic Outcomes
Pain is a complex, lived experience that is modulated by multiple internal and external factors. This session will review research for pain neuroscience education, and explore the impact of beliefs, expectations, and language on clinical outcomes. Participants will learn how to “power up” placebo effects and minimize nocebo responses in patients who have pain.
