Tearin’ Up My Heart: Avoiding Cardiovascular Complications with Pain Pharmacotherapy
When considering pharmacotherapy in the management of pain, it is important to consider a patient’s comorbidities to avoid creating a new issue or contributing to worsening of an existing problem. Comorbidities may also guide medication selection to target more than one problem. You will walk away knowing the dos and don’ts of medications to avoid “tearing up” any hearts.
