The New Disruptors: Novel Interventional Techniques for Lumbar Spinal Stenosis and Degenerative Disc Disease

Course Description:

The Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (LSS) treatment landscape is evolving rapidly, with surgical interventions and percutaneous implants growing in popularity recently. Some of these have been shown to be more efficacious than older treatment options, such as epidural steroid injections. In this course, we will review the indications, contraindications, patient presentations, outcome data, and potential complications on minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD®), Vertiflex®, Coflex® Interlaminar Stabilization, and MinuteMan G3® procedures.

Learning Objectives

  • List lumbar stenosis characterizations
  • Describe the indications for minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD®), Vertiflex®, Coflex® Interlaminar Stabilization, and MinuteMan G3® procedures
  • Define the outcome data for the various procedures listed
