This session will review the history of spinal cord stimulation (SCS) and peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS). The mechanisms of action and differences between SCS and PNS will be explored, as well as indications for these advanced interventional pain therapies. To be discussed: the who, why, and how of patient selection for these therapies.
