I'll Take "OUD" for 500! A Game to Test Your Knowledge of Opioid Use Disorder

Drug overdoses from substance use disorders, including Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), are ravaging our nation and led to over 100,000 deaths in 2022. Clinicians are caring for patients with this disease or affected by this disease every day.  For a different spin on things, we will present a fun Jeopardy style game-show experience for the audience, using a buzzer system to have members participate in an engaging learning format.  Categories of questions will include stigma, medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), harm reduction, withdrawal management, screening, and pain management in patients with OUD with a bonus finale question to really stretch the limits of knowledge regarding the care for patients with OUD!

Learning Objectives

  • Identify appropriate strategies to managing pain or withdrawal in patients with OUD
  • Explain various types of harm reduction in the care of patient with OUD
  • Discuss MOUD selection and how fentanyl is changing induction strategies
