Diversity is a topic that triggers a multitude of reactions.Diversity can be a challenge because we providers may get mixed messages about acknowledging someone’s differences but also treating everyone the same. This presentation will speak to the multiple cultural differences (race, ethnicity, gender, and more) and how we as providers must respect differences, acknowledge history, and offer compassion, appropriate care, while still remembering each client is unique.
