Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), a chronic, debilitating illness that is mediated via cells of the immune system (eosinophils) eliciting T-helper 2 (Th2) cell mediated inflammation, affects several people globally and imparts significant impact on the quality of life (QoL) of the affected patient population.
