Despite equivocal evidence regarding its safety and efficacy, cannabinoid use in pain patients is becoming more common and is associated with many sociopolitical issues. This presentation will explore the implications of cannabinoid and opioid use in pain and its treatment including mental health, acute pain, cancer pain, and chronic nonmalignant pain.
