Pain Management Coaching; Integrative and Complementary Strategies for Complicated Pain

Pain management coaching is a systemized application of techniques, including motivational interviewing, that enable your patients to work through ambivalence and take action to change their lives. One of the primary components is education. Coaches teach skills to enable the patient to regain a sense of control and direction. Working with patients to implement the provider’s recommendations, coaches give support and tools to help the patient reframe their perspective hopelessness and safely navigate through the treacherous jungle of complicated pain.
