Next Generation Migraine Therapies: Prevention

 

Next generation therapies in headache medicine feature new and exciting interventions that have recently become available for wide use over the past several years. This course will review the current patterns of acute and preventive therapies in migraine management, then will transition to an overview of novel therapies and rationale for their use. We will review cardiovascular risk in migraine and how it relates to therapy hoice. Common behavioral therapies will also be presented.

  • Discuss current acute migraine therapies
  • Recognize the risk of cardiovascular disease in migraine patients
