Malpractice for Dummies: Getting Sued and Surviving to Talk About It

How can practitioners reduce their risk of a malpractice suit? Why do physicians get sued? How can a physician best answer questions brought up in a lawsuit? This presentation will answer those questions, and discuss the history of malpractice law, review the basic anatomy of a malpractice lawsuit, and explain malpractice insurance. Attendees will learn how to cope with a lawsuit, and prepare in the event that they are sued.
